Elections: We are extending elections in order to encourage more members to run for positions. If you have any questions at all about any of the positions, please email us at jhupaws@gmail.com. We will have elections at our meeting on December 2, 2009.

Thanksgiving With the Turkeys: We need to have a final list of people going to Poplar Springs this Saturday. Email us for a final confirmation if you want to go!

Santa PAWS End of Semester Party: Friday, December 4th in the Sherwood Room in Levering Hall! Come for a fun time with your fellow PAWS members! We'll have delicious treats and it will be a great time as always!

Spring Break: Plans are coming together and we need to hear from anyone thinking about going. Email us!

11/11/09 Meeting

We discussed:

Puerto Rico: If you are interested in going to PR during Spring Break, please email us! The trip is a combination of service at an animal shelter and relaxation on a beautiful island. Expected cost (though it depends on how many people go) is around $1,000. Also email us if you have any questions.

Thanksgiving With the Turkeys: This event is on Saturday, November 21 and is a lot of fun! We will be visiting an animal sanctuary that has many different farm animals. The event is a pot-luck vegan Thanksgiving style meal. You don't have to be a vegan to go, and we can help with recipe ideas and cooking for anyone that is interested in going! We will be leaving around noon on the 21st, so email us if you want to go!

Elections: We will be having elections for e-board and committee chairs for the spring! If you are interested in running, you MUST email us by Tuesday, November 17 by 8:00 PM with what position you are running for and a 3 sentence blurb about why you're running or why you should be elected. The positions are:

President: responsible for leading/organizing meetings, liaison to the school

Vice President: responsible for organizing events

Treasurer: responsible for reimbursements, budget, and financial paperwork

Secretary: responsible for group communication and record keeping

BARCS liaison: contact person for BARCS and keeps logs of training/volunteering etc

Art Chair: responsible for organizing the art committee for projects such as posters/billboards and anything else design related

Website Chair: responsible for maintaining the www.jhu.edu/paws website

PAWS Photographer: the official PAWS photographer, responsible for photographing group events and activities
